June 17, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: A 16-year-old male driving a minivan was ejected from the vehicle who subsequently died early Saturday morning. Four passengers also in the minivan were all taken to Lutheran Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
According to NYPD, at approximately 2:00am the teenage male was allegedly driving the minivan at an apparent high rate of speed when the van struck another vehicle on the Belt Parkway.
Police say at that moment, the teen driver lost control of the minivan crashing into a second vehicle and causing a roll over. The teen driver was ejected from the minivan and rushed to Lutheran Hospital where he was not able to survive his injuries. The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital, Investigators said.







Authorities have yet to release the teenage drivers identity, pending proper family notification. The individual driving the second vehicle was treated minor injuries, police said.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
