32-Year-Old Man Shot Multiple Times is Dead After Walking into Bronx Hospital

June 18, 2022 | BRONX, NY: A 32-year-old Bronx man died early Saturday after walking himself into Lincoln Hospital with several gunshot wounds to the body, police said.

Derek Davis walked into Lincoln Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso just after 12:30 a.m., police said. Initially davis was thought to have sustained stab wounds, upon further evaluation by hospital staff, his injuries were determined to be gunshot wounds.

According to authorities, the 32-year-old Bronx man was taken into emergency surgery and did not survive his injuries. Mr. Davis was pronounced dead around 4:00am, cops said. Police determined the shooting occurred at 1224 College Avenue near E168th street in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

As of Saturday evening no arrests have been made and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
