Two People Dead, 13 Firefighters Injured in Queens Massive 5-Alarm Blaze

June 17, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: At approximately 2:07pm, Firefighters responded to 3 houses fully engulfed in a 3-Alarm Fire at 104- 19 125th street off liberty avenue in the South Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens.

Two civilians were found dead inside one of the homes engulfed during the 5-Alarm Queens Fire and 13 firefighters injured. Some members of service sustained series injuries, all went to area hospitals.

Initial reports said one person was trapped in the fire with only one Firefighter injured during the blaze. The MOS was transported to an area hospital. The severity of his injuries are unknown.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
