28-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dead Following Crash into Brick Fence around Queens Home

June 01, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: A 28-year-old motorcycle rider died after crashing into a brick fence in Queens early Tuesday, police said. The motorcyclist, now identified as Thomas Hardy was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed on Utopia Parkway when hardy struck the brick fence surrounding a home in Queens.

At approximately 1:07am NYPD responded to calls of a motorcycle accident at Utopia Parkway & Jewel Avenue in Fresh Meadows, Queens. Upon their arrival, 107th precinct police confirmed the motorcycle accident to have serious injuries and a highway collision investigation squad was requested to the scene.

The motorcyclist, now identified as Thomas Hardy was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed on Utopia Parkway when hardy struck a section of brick fencing around a Fresh Meadows home in Queens

According to police, the 28-year-old rider was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact with the brick fence and found unresponsive with trauma about the body, said NYPD officials.

The critically wounded rider was rushed by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Hospital- Queens where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
