Suspect Shot by Police in Williamsburg

May 28, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: A fleeing suspect was shot by police after crashing his SUV into an NYPDs officer’s vehicle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. According to NYPD officials, police fired at least 3 shots and struck one of 3 individuals inside of the suspects vehicle. Officers from the 90th precinct advised that two uninjured suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

At approximately 3:23am Police responded to the incident at Vandervoort Avenue & Meeker Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn where two Officer opened fire on an SUV that struck the police vehicle.

A 21-year-old male suspect believed to be the alleged driver of the SUV that struck a police vehicle and injuring an officer would subsequently walk himself into Wyckoff Heights Medical Center with a gunshot wound, police said.

The investigation into the police shooting is still ongoing.
