Police Administrative Assistant among Two Women Shot in Queens, Possible Domestic Dispute

May 09, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: A man shot and critically wounded two females after gunning them down inside of an apartment building at 66-17 Fresh Pond Rd. The shooting happened inside of a third floor unit of the building located in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens. Upon police arrival, officers from the 104th precinct located two seriously wounded victims. The first victim, a 48-year-old female with at least two gunshot wounds, one shot to the abdomen and another to the shoulder.

The second victim was found with a serious life threatening gunshot wound to the head and who police believe to be the intended target was also located at the scene. The 51-year-old female who works as a police administrative assistant was rushed by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital where she is later pronounced dead, police said. According to authorities, both females are in critical condition following the shooting.

The 48-year-old female shot in the abdomen is believed to a resident, who lives downstairs. The 48-year-old was also shot when she went upstairs to check on her neighbor. She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital and currently listed in critical condition.

According to police, it appears right now to be a domestic incident, the story is still developing. At this time there are no arrests as the suspect fled the scene in a dark colored Nissan car, with dark tinted windows.
