Woman Found Fatally Shot Inside Queens Home

May 04, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: A 51-year-old Anna Torres was found shot and killed inside an Ozone Park home Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to the Queens home for a report of shots fired around 2:30pm. Upon arrival, police from the 106th precinct confirmed that a woman sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred in the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens at 94-59 109th Avenue inside a two-story home. The unresponsive female was found with at least one gunshot wound to the head, police said. Officers called for a level one mobilization to aid in canvassing the area for the suspect and evidence.

According to police, officers are searching for a shooting suspect that fled on 109th Avenue in a black Chevrolet Traverse. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.

The day started with more gun violence, in the early Wednesday morning hours around 3am, 77th precinct officers located a teen female that was shot in the head inside of a Brooklyn building at 1500 Sterling Pl.

The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center in critical condition.

No arrests have been made in either case and the investigations are ongoing.
