Virginia Man Shot in the Head in Manhattan’s Upper West Side

May 01, 2022 MANHATTAN, NY: Sunday afternoon a man was shot in the head and killed in broad day light in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Police from the 24th precinct responded to 911 calls of shots fired at 140 West 102 Street.

Upon arrival to the “Dead End” street, officers observed a 27-year-old man from Virginia with a gunshot wound to the head. The fatally wounded man was found sitting in the drivers seat of a white Mercedes Benz SUV.

EMS was requested to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Crime scene detectives canvassed the area for hours, and at least two shell casings were located.

At this time no arrests have been made and the investigation into this shooting incident remains ongoing.
