Man Shot to Death in Queens Subway Station

April 23, 2022 | QUEENS, NY: A verbal dispute between two males broke out in a Queens subway station Monday afternoon that quickly escalated to one individual allegedly pulling out a weapon and firing upon the second male, striking him at least three times in the mid-section. The victim was reportedly shot twice in the chest and once near the groin area.

Around 430pm, officers from the 103rd precinct responded to the subway shooting at Archer Ave & Parsons Boulevard. Upon arrival officers requested a rush on EMS to the scene for transport of the critically wounded male. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

According to police officials, the 24-year-old victim was near a pay booth area when he was approached by the suspect and verbal dispute quickly turned physical. During the altercation the suspect fired off several rounds that fatally struck the victim, police said.

A firearm was recovered at the scene and Detectives in Queens are working to determine what led up to the physical dispute. At this time no arrests have been made and police are urging anyone who has any information on this incident to call crimestoppers.
