Body Found in Bronx Car Fire

April 25, 2022 | BRONX, NY: Just before 6am a body was discovered in a car fire reported at 900 intervale Avenue in the Longwood section of the Bronx. According to police, the individual was located in the back seat of the vehicle and pronounced dead, cops said.

Police responded to the incident around 5:39am and reported one person at least one person with life-threatening injuries was located during the vehicle fire. EMS was requested to the scene, firefighters reported that the person found in the car was declared dead at the scene after being located in the backseat of the vehicle.

For reasons still under investigation, it’s unknown at this time if the individual located in the back seat of the vehicle died in the car fire or prior to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and fire marshals are working to determine the cause of the fire & death.
