Three teens gunned down outside Bronx High school, 1 dead

April 08, 2022 | BRONX, NY: Three teens between ages of 15-18 years old were gunned down in the Bronx Friday afternoon. According to police, 1 teen has died. The incident occurred around 1:40pm near East 156 street and Brook Avenue outside of South Bronx High School. Initially, police responded to 911 calls of two people shot, upon arrival confirmed a third victim.

A 16-year-old female who was shot in the chest and sustained life threatening injuries has died, police said. A second 16-year-old female victim also found with at least one gunshot wound to the leg. Police also located a 17-year-old boy was shot in the back buttocks area, police said. According to police, both victims have been transported in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital. The incident occurred in the Melrose section of the Bronx.

The investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing and police detectives are searching for suspects that fled. This is a developing story.
