April 07, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: Just after 8pm it was reported that a pedestrian was allegedly struck by a police van at Brooklyn Eastern Parkway and Schenectady Avenue. According to police, the marked NYPD vehicle was traveling on Eastern Parkway when it collided with the victim near Schenectady Avenue in Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.
The victim is believed to be a known homeless individual in the area. The injured man was struck and dragged several feet before an officer stopped the vehicle to render aid. The wounded man was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries, police said.






NYPD Highway CIS Collision Investigation Squad was requested due to the severity of the individual’s injuries. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
