Man Shot in the Face Found by Brother Inside Brooklyn Apartment

April 03, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: A man was found inside a Brooklyn apartment with a severe gunshot wound to the face. The gruesome discovery was made by the brother of the critically wounded man. According to police, after discovering his wounded sibling the brother also called 911 to alert authorities of the discovery.

Just before midnight Sunday evening, police officers from the 75th precinct responded to a 911 call at 1148 Blake Avenue of a man shot. Upon arrival officers found a 28-yr-old male with a gunshot wound to the face in a second floor apartment. Police advised the victim’s injuries to be life threatening.

EMS responded to the scene and rushed the 28-year-old victim to Brookdale Hospital where was pronounced dead, police said.

It has yet to be determined if the gunshot wound was self inflicted or if there was foul play involved. As of Monday morning there are no arrests in this case. The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
