12-year-old boy shot and killed sitting in parked car in Brooklyn

March 31 2022 Brooklyn, New York – A 12-year-old boy was shot in the head and killed this evening in East Flatbush part of Brooklyn. Police say he was sitting in a parked minivan with his mother and another 20-year-old woman when they were shot at.

Incident occured on East 56 Street and Linden Boulevard in East Flatbush just after 7:45 p.m., sources said. The boy was hit in his chest and head, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 20-year-old woman was also struck by a bullet in the right cheek and left leg, she is expected to survive, police said.

According to NYPOST child does not appear to be the target. Five suspects fled the scene in a black Infiniti.
