March 26, 2022 | BROOKLYN, NY: Early Saturday morning in Brooklyn a massive five-alarm fire damaged several businesses. Firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls of a fire at 1919 Church Avenue. Upon arrival emergency crews battled through a thick wall of black smoke billowing from a row of connected commercial buildings and quickly raised the response to 5 Alarms.
The fire began to rip through the first first floor of the mixed 2-story commercial building around 2:30 a.m. in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. Heavy smoke could be seen throughout the area.






Over 40 units and around 170 Firefighters responded to the scene that quickly grew to five alarms. According to fire officials, 4 firefighters were treated on scene by EMS for minor injuries.
The investigation into the official cause of the Fire is ongoing .
