Man Sustained Life Threatening Injuries After Deli Shooting in Brooklyn, Another Shooting Nearby

March 20 2022 – Brooklyn, New York: Officers responded to a deli around 3:15 p.m. in East New York where multiple suspects fled after a shooting. A was man injured in a shooting at the deli on Pitkin Avenue and Wyona Street in broad daylight. The victim was shot in the head and his injuries are considered life-threatening.

Within an hour, about ten blocks away, a man was also shot on the platform at Shephard Ave subway station, which is one subway stop down the line. Authorities said a suspect known to the victim opened fire, the man was shot in his torso. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital. It is not yet known if the incidents are connected.

A possible abduction was reported on the same avenue between the two incidents

In Crown Heights part of Brooklyn, around 4 p.m., police were investigating a shooting or multiple stabbing at an Indian restaurant on Nostrand Avenue.
