Bronx Man Killed After Shot in The Chest

March 10th, 2022 – Manhattan, NY: Detectives in the Bronx a searching for a suspect who opened fire just before 12:30 a.m., striking and critically wounding a 46-year-old man. Officers from the 47th Precinct responded to multiple 911 calls of a person shot at 730 E. 227th St. in the Williamsbridge section of the borough.

Upon arrival officers located an unresponsive injured 46-year-old male at the scene with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to police the victims injuries were determined to be life threatening. Officers requested additional units to aid in the investigation.

The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. There are no arrests as of Thursday morning and the investigation into this shooting incident is ongoing.
