Bronx 3-Story House Fire Leaves 2 Residents Injured

March 03, 2022 – BRONX, NY: Just before 2:30am firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls for a residential fire in a 3-story structure where two people were injured. According to police, 911 callers observed fire on the first floor of the residence at 1776 Macomb Avenue in the Bronx.

Firefighters at the scene battled a fire within the three story residence and requested additional units to assist at the scene. Fire crews stretched two lines to help extinguish the fire on the second floor of the home in the Clason Point section of the Bronx.

Just before 3am rescue crews conducted a secondary search of the second and third floors of the private dwelling without finding anyone else trapped or injured. No members of service were injured in this incident. The two residents that were injured were transported by EMS to an area hospital for evaluation, officials said.

Fire marshals are working to determine an official cause for the fire, the investigation is ongoing.
