March 01, 2022 – MANHATTAN L, NY: A woman was shot and struck at least once in the leg Tuesday evening around 10:00 p.m. in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.
Officers responded to a shots fired call and upon arrival at 2253 3rd Avenue, 25th precinct officers located a 23-year-old female with a non- life threatening gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
According to police officials, its possible the female was not the intended target, the vicitm stated to have heard shots ring out and later realizing she had been shot. Detectives are searching for a dark color charger that fled from the scene northbound on 3rd avenue.
The 23-year-old female victim was transported to Harlem Hospital by emergency crews and is listed in stable condition, police said.
