1 Person Hospitalized After Van Collides With Parked Semi-Trailer in Queens

March 02, 2022 QUEENS, NY: A van collided into a parked trailer causing major damage and entrapment for a male driver. Firefighters responded to the collision around 12:30 a.m. and worked on extraction. Upon arrival at Booth St. and Elliot St. officers from the 112th precinct observed a heavily damaged van with a person trapped inside.

Firefighters on scene were able to break the male victim out of entrapment using extrication tools and place the victim in the care of EMS crews. After breaking the male free from the wreckage the request for a CIS investigation was canceled, police said.

According to police, the victim was said to be concious and alert when being transported to an area hospital. A request for an NYPD CIS investigation was made and subsequently canceled.
