1 Dead, Another in Critical Condition Following Double Stabbing in Brooklyn

February 26th, 2022 – Brooklyn, NY: One man was killed, another left in critical condition after being stabbed Saturday evening. The incident occurred just before 11:00 p.m. outside of 168 7th Street in the Gowanus neighborhood of Brooklyn.

According to police, the two wounded individuals were working a security gig when a verbal altercation with a person who was denied entry to the establishment erupted. As the situation escalated, the assailant allegedly stabbed both men, leaving one dead, and the other hospitalized in critical but stable condition, police said.

Upon arrival, first responding officers located a 25-year-old male with a severe chest wound and a 21-year-old male, who suffered at least one stab wound to the back. Both security guards were rushed by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The 25-year-old security worker was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The suspect, a 20-year-old male was taken into police custody. Charges are pending a further investigation.
