Two individuals were killed just before midnight on the Cross Bronx Expressway & Rosedale Avenue after an SUV with four people were traveling in collided with a parked large vehicle flat bed tow truck closest to the westbound lane, police said.
According to police, a 47-year-old male passenger died instantly at the scene of the wreck. For reasons still under investigation, a 33-year-old female driver slammed into a parked towing vehicle. The female drive was rushed to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.





Two additional passengers, 15 & 32-year-old females were also transported to area hospitals. The 32-year-old woman was taken St. Barnabas Hospital and the 15-year-old to Jacobi Medical Center, as of Saturday morning they are both listed in stable condition, police said.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined and is still under investigation.
