1 Man Shot During Attempted Robbery in Manhattan

A man was shot just before 11:15 p.m. in Manhattan Friday evening. NYPD responded to 911 calls of shots fired at 2251 First Avenue and located an injured male.

According to police, the man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot during an attempted robbery. Additional emergency service unit officers were requested to canvas the area for shell casings.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries, cops said.

The suspect along with two additional individuals fled from the scene on foot, northbound on First Avenue.

There are no arrest as of Saturday morning and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
