1 Person Critically Injured In Queens House Fire

One person was injured and sustained life-threatening injuries during a fire that broke out around 5:00 a.m. at a residential building in Queens. Firefighters responded to 911 calls of a fire on the second floor of a residence at 102–101 Brisbin Street in the Jamaica neighborhood of queens.

Fire crews first to arrive observed fire on the second floor of a home that also caused damaged to a neighboring home. It is reported that one civilian sustained life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to nearby hospital

We spoke with Kumar who says he witnessed the flames above the roof.

“Once I came out, the flames came over the roofline. It was high up in the air.”

Kumar, a neighborhood resident that witnessed the flames.

“Once I came out, the flames came over the roofline. It was high up in the air. I thought it was the second house because you will see clear from my house. So then I got out here and I saw the fire through the roof, I don’t know if anyone got hurt or not. That I can’t say.”

The investigation into the official cause of the fire is still ongoing.
