”Always Essential, Excluded No More!” – Immigrant Workers Rally at Union Square

February 14, 2022 – Manhattan, NY: On Valentines Day morning the Fund Excluded Workers Coalition, ally organizations, and supporters of immigrant workers rights gathered at Union Square Park to kick off Love Your Excluded Workers Week.

Activists are demanding real solutions and for legislators to provide a plan of expansion for worker protections. The groups are also calling on Governor Kathy Hochul to pass Excluded No More A9037/S8165 for all workers.

In all areas of the city’s workforce, immigrants from all over have played a key role in keeping New York City at the forefront of advancement for posterity. Immigrant workers are demanding the state add 3 billion dollars to the Excluded Workers Fund and provide a fair safety net for all excluded workers.
