Teen Killed, 4 Others Injured in Brooklyn Car Crash

February 06, 2022 – Brooklyn, NY: Just after 2:00 a.m., officers from the 77th precinct responded to 911 calls regarding a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Rogers Avenue in Brooklyn.

According to NYPD Officials, officers located several individuals with injuries upon arrival. An 18-year-old male, traveling westbound on the Eastern Parkway in a Hyundai Sonata was involved in a collision with a Toyota Solara, traveling northbound on Rogers Avenue operated by a 61-year-old female.

EMS responded to the collision scene and removed at least 4 teenage passengers from the Hyundai. Including a critically injured 18-year-old female passenger that was rushed to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

According to police, the 61-year-old female driver of the Toyota was also taken by EMS to Kings County Hospital and is listed in stable condition. The 18-year-old male driver of the Hyundai was also critically injured and taken to Kings County Hospital with charges pending.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing by the New York City Police Department’s Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad.
