At Least 9 Residents Injured During Bronx Two-Alarm Fire

At least nine residents of a six story apartment building have sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries during an early morning two-alarm fire that broke out at 2397 Grand Avenue in the University Heights section of the Bronx.

According to FDNY officials; firefighters requested additional units to the six story apartment building for multiple residents with serious but non-life threatening injuries

Firefighters conducted a thorough secondary sweep of the building and found no one to be trapped inside.

During a press conference at the scene with the Fire battalion chief, it was mentioned that 9 civilians including a pregnant woman were injured. Additionally 1 firefighter was also injured during the blaze.

The investigation into this fire incident is ongoing.
