Teen Girl Struck By Box-Truck in Brooklyn After Exiting MTA Bus

January 27, 2022 – Brooklyn, New York: Early Thursday morning NYPD officers responded to a 911 call of a young pedestrian struck by a box-truck in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn.

According to police officials, just after 7:30 a.m. a 13-year-old female was stuck by a box-truck as she exited an MTA bus at Avenue J and Coney Island Avenue. First responding officers observed a young girl with severe injuries at the location.

EMS advised that the young female teen was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center as is listed in critical condition.

NYPD officers closed off the road and heavy traffic was reported in the area following the incident.

Both vehicle operators remained remained at the scene and no arrests were made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
