32-Year-old Worker Killed in Queens Construction Accident

A 32-year-old worker died Monday morning following an alleged construction accident involving a dump truck at a home in Queens.

According to NYPD Officials, around 10:30 a.m. a 32-year-old man was struck in the head by the large falling metal dumpster parked in the driveway of a home on 191st Street, near Northern Boulevard, in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Queens.

FDNY officials confirmed a worker with severe head trauma was pinned between a large metal dumpster and a house. The 32-year-old worker did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The worker killed in a “freak accident” that involved a large metal container, are normally found at construction sites and are to be filled with bulk trash.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
