4 Firefighters Hurt Battling Huge Blaze Fire in Vacant Queens Home

January 10 2022 Queens, New York – At least four firefighters were injured in a heavy all hands fire at a vacant structure on 87-82 172nd Street in Queens, according to officials.

At least 60 firefighters from 12 units responded. Fdny reported a member was down and then evacuated from the building. All members of the FDNY were evacuated from the building as they continued to fight the blaze. Requested ConEd on the rush as primary wires were down in the street.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
