January 03, 2021 Bronx, NY – Early Monday morning the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a working route MTA Bus at Pelham Pkwy & White Plains Rd in the Allerton neighborhood of the Bronx, injuring two.
Emergency responders carried out an auto extrication to remove the male driver of the pickup truck involved in the major accident with the MTA vehicle, police said
According to officials, the male driver of the maroon Chevy Avalanche was transported to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.
Authorities said the bus driver sustained minor injuries during the crash and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
