January 2 2022 Brooklyn, New York – Detectives in Brooklyn are searching for an armed assailant that fatally shot a 36-year-old woman and her dog inside a Bodega at 488 Dekalb Avenue Sunday evening.
The fatal shooting occurred in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday
First responding officers found the 36-year-old woman critically injured and unconscious on the ground in front of the bodega at around 9:45 p.m.,
According to officials, the 36-year-old female was rushed by EMS to The Brooklyn Hospital Center where she was pronounced dead.






Police said her dog died at the location of the incident after also being shot by the perpetrator.
