Person Injured after Car Crashes into Astoria Store

December 30 2021 Queens, New York – A person has been reported injured after a car crashed into a storefront in Astoria.

The incident occured at 26-01 23rd Ave around midday Thursday afternoon.

We spoke with Alicia who was working inside of the establishment when the vehicle came crashing through.

“I was just kinda sitting there and I heard like someone, I think he hit that car that is like across the street, and all of a sudden, literally the car smashes into like the storefront.”

No one was injured inside of the store when the crash occurred and the condition of the driver is unknown at this time.

Earlier this morning less than a mile away from the crash site, the body of a deceased person was discovered in Astoria at 38th Street and 21st Avenue by neighborhood residents.

Both separate incidents are under investigation.
