Seven Hurt, Three Seriously Injured in an Upper West Side Fire

December 28, 2021 – At least 7 hurt and 3 people seriously injured during a fire that broke out early Tuesday morning in a high rise apartment building on Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Flames broke out around 6:15am this morning, at 133 West 90th Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenue.

As heavy smoke ripped through the high-rise, three people were hospitalized with serious injuries, while another civilian and a firefighter suffered minor injuries, the FDNY said.

FNTV journalist Daniel Valls spoke with Delia Torres, a resident, and she stated that as she started to walk down the stairway heavy smoke conditions made it hard to see and breathe, two of her neighbors had to be transported to the hospital.
