December 27, 2021 – According to police, a shooting occurred near 12 South Valley Road in West Orange, New Jersey just after 3:00 p.m. where an the off-duty officer was shot during an attempted robbery.
Police say two suspects, a male and female were in the process of a robbery when the off-duty officer was shot.
Officers apprehended the male suspect after the suspects vehicle was located at a gas station on South Orange Avenue and Bergen Street, police said.
According to police officials, the off-duty New Jersey officer’s injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening and was taken to University Hospital for treatment of a graze wound.
