School Safety Agent Killed in Overnight Astoria Shooting

December 23 2021 MANHATTAN New York – An NYPD school safety agent was killed and two other people were injured in a shooting while out celebrating her 27th birthday with her twin sister in Astoria Queens.

According to the NYPD, just after 4 a.m. a 911 caller reported shots fired in front of 23-66 Steinway Street. Responding officers from the 114th precinct located a 27-year-old with critical gunshot wounds about the body.

According to a NYpost article, all three victims got into a dispute with an unknown number of suspects, to which the suspects then opened fire, critically striking the school safety agent, and wounding two others.

EMS responded to the location and rushed the 27-year-old woman found outside of the establishment to Mount Sinai Hospital-Queens, where she was pronounced dead, said police.
