December 22, 2021 Manhattan, New York – A serious assault was reported near Central Park Wednesday evening, where one person sustained injuries due to an alleged unknown chemical attack.
The incident occurred in a third floor Manhattan apartment at 1330 5th Avenue, between East 111th and West 112th Street, said police dispatch.
Responding EMS treated a patient with chemical burns at the scene. The person injured during the altercation by chemicals unknown at this time, was transported by EMS to a local hospital, said police.
A person of interest was also treated at the scene and taken into police custody. The investigation into the alleged chemical assault is ongoing.
