Two Dead After 3-Alarm Blaze in Hoboken

December 20th, 2021 – On Monday morning Hoboken Firefighters responded to a 3-alarm fire in a converted warehouse space located at 38 Jackson Street in Hoboken, New Jersey

Firefighters found two people as they were knocking down the warehouse blaze. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, said fire officials.

The converted warehouse was home to several small businesses and artists’ spaces.

Some surrounding buildings did sustain substantial water and fire damage. The incident is being investigated by The Regional Arson Task Force and the Hoboken Police Department.

The official cause of death of the two people found in the structure is also still under investigation by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Firefighters from North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue and the Jersey City Fire Department also responded to the early morning blaze.
