December 20, 2021 The iconic seven-foot tall, 1,130-pound New Year’s Eve 2022 Numerals arrived in New York City today and are on display in Times Square.
On New Year’s Eve the numerals atop One Times Square will light up at midnight and remain on the 26-story building located in the heart of Times Square throughout the 2022 year.
The celebrated NYE tradition since 1907 was closed off to the public last year amid concerns of increased covid cases.
Mayor de Blasio has yet to announce plans of moving ahead with a traditional ball drop celebration in Times Square or to cancel the event as millions are waiting to modify their holiday plans.
