Car Slams Into Queens Home

Around 2 a.m. early Saturday morning NYPD officers and FDNY firefighters responded to a 911 call regarding a car crashing into a home in Queens.

First responding emergency crews observed a vehicle crashed into the front of a house on the corner of Francis Lewis Boulevard and Springfield Boulevard.

According to police, the vehicle struck a utility pole before crashing into one of the exterior walls that leads to a bedroom in the Queens home.

The owner of the house informed our journalist that his niece was sleeping in the bedroom at the time of the incident. She was not harmed in the crash.

The driver of the blue car remained at the scene and indicated to losing control of his vehicle due to possible break failure.

He was transported by EMS to a near by hospital for evaluation.
