Bronx Man Fatally Stabbed In Subway Station; Suspect At Large

December 13, 2021 – A man succumbs to injuries sustained during a stabbing at the at the Wakefield-241st Street train station just before 1 a.m. Monday morning in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx.

Police officers from the 47th Precinct, Transit District #12 responded to the subway station at 241 Street and found an unidentified adult male near a pool of blood with stab wounds about the torso.

According to police, the stabbing was carried out by an unknown assailant following a verbal dispute on the mezzanine leading to the 2 train.

EMS rushed the unidentified male to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The alleged suspect fled the station on foot and no arrests have been made at this time, said police. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
