A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday morning in East Elmhurst, Queens by an armed assailant wearing a black ski mask, said police.
According to NYPD officials, the shooting occurred inside an apartment at 23-23 98th St., where the 27-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS transported the man to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A female, who’s role in the incident is under investigation was also present inside the apartment during the shooting, she was not harmed.
Officers escorted the woman who was visibly shaken away from the scene and there are no arrests in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
