New York: Explosion In Brooklyn Leaves 6 injured

December 01, 2021 – Early Wednesday morning, hundreds of firefighters from 33 units responded to an explosion at 58 Vermont Street, where six individuals were injured.

The explosion occurred in the Cypress Hills neighborhood of Brooklyn outside of a three-story home just after midnight, causing a 3 alarm fire to spread into the two buildings on either side of it.

A separate building behind the location where the fire originated on Jamaica Avenue also had fire damage.

Con Edison was also on the scene in the event of a possible gas emergency. The investigation into the explosion is still ongoing.
