November 14 2021, Police from the 113th precinct responded to a vehicle collision at 119-01 Guy R Brewer Boulevard.
When officers arrived they noticed an unconscious and unresponsive male.
EMS transported the 20-year-old male with severe head and body trauma to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A police investigation determined that the male driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling at an apparent high rate of speed.
The vehicle then struck a utility pole and a metal light pole, causing major damage at the location.
Also in the vehicle was a 26-year-old male passenger who sustained a laceration to the head.
EMS transported the male passenger to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he is in stable condition, said police.
This investigation by the NYPD highway collision investigation squad is still ongoing.
