Protesters Block Sanitation Trucks to Speak Up Against Mandates

November 8 2021 Staten Island, New York – Protesters gathered outside of DSNY (Department of Sanitation New York Station) in Staten Island, to protest the vaccine mandates given to municipal workers.

Protesters temporarily blocked the Sanitation Trucks as they were leaving the station. They eventually let the trucks pass, specifying that the Staten Island station is still “holding the line”, while DSNY trucks from the Bronx are picking up the Staten Island garbage instead.

“Take Your communities back” said Danny Presti outside of Department of Sanitation in Staten Island “They are coming for the kids, they are already here for them” he spoke about vaccine mandates.
