Curtis Sliwa battles poll site workers over a kitten, campaign jacket on Upper West Side

On Tuesday, November 2nd., NYC Mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa came to Upper West Side polling station to vote.
Bringing one of his kittens with him, he at was told his kitten of 4 weeks is not allowed indoors.

As he entered the polling site he was also told he can not wear his Mayoral jacket inside.

Polling volunteers appeared to grow frustrated at the press covering the story, at one point a poll worker said “fuck the press” and then said “fuck this” before walking off.

Curtis eventually placed his ballot into the machine only for it to get jammed on him. Eventually board of elections were able to fix the machine.

He was eventually able to place his vote, upon exiting the polling station he noticed that the “No Pets” sign was no longer at the entry.
