Cars Submerged in Water, Trees Fallen on Cars – Nor’easter Lashing NYC with Heavy Rain and Wind

October 26 2021 – BROOKLYN, New York:
Multiple cars were flooded in Greenpoint Brooklyn due to the ongoing nor’easter thats ravaging the East Coast.
States of emergency are in place in New York and New Jersey as forecasters say the impact could rival those of Ida and Henri.

Drivers were seen trying to navigate their vehicles through flood waters. Workers in the area were attempting to clean out drains to ease the flooding. Vehicles were seen submerged and abandoned.



Later in the morning a large tree fell into a car, blocking the street and cracking the windshield and mirror at 72-76 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights.

Earlier in the morning, around 5am, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway was flooded at exit 43, with cars driving through dangerously high water, eventually the DOT shut down some lanes and were able to drain the flooding.
