October 23, 2021 NYPD officers from the 79th precinct responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian struck at Atlantic and Nostrand Avenues.
According to police, when officers arrived on scene, they observed a 63-year-old male with trauma about the body, lying on the roadway.
The 63-year-old male was transported by EMS to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
It was determined by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad that the 63 year-old-male was trying to cross Atlantic Avenue when he was struck at high speeds by an unknown vehicle.
The unknown vehicle did not remain at the scene. Currently no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
