October 19th, 2021 – Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department attempted to pull over a pick up truck with stolen license plates around 11:30pm. The driver fled and police gave chase until the truck crashed into another vehicle, according to police.
Crash in the death of an innocent driver at the intersection of N. Ocean Ave. and Express Drive South, officials said. The passenger was also hurt in the crash and rushed to a nearby hospital where they remain in serious condition.
The 50 year old male operator and solo occupant of the pick up truck suffered minor injuries, he is facing multiple charges including reckless driving, possession of stolen property, and fleeing police, according to NYPD sources.
