Dozens Ships Backed Up in California Port, some for Months

Many Ships seen backed up in the US Port in Long Beach, California.

Some ships have been there for two months, and reports state they may not go through until next summer.



The clogged supply chain has delayed cargo and caused shortages in common goods and drove consumer prices higher in inflation.

Locals voiced their concern, stating they think the endless containers across the Terminal Island are empty, and due to short work ours, won’t be cleared unless better terms are negotiated with the unions. They also shared with us their fears with pandemic restrictions.

According to the New York Times, the delay in getting the container ships to port comes as pandemic restrictions start to ease and consumer spending increases, resulting in shortages of some products, and have caused slowdowns in production.
